    Why Hasn’t My Client Received His Email?

    Many factors affect the delivery of an email:

    1. The email address may have been entered incorrectly
    2. Sometimes emails are routed to Spam or Junk mail folders
    3. Email addresses from a large corporation or educational institution may have strict email policies that impede delivery
    Basic Troubleshooting, and Determining Which Email is Missing Collapse

    To start with, you should ask your client to check his spam or promotions folders. Commonly, client actually do receive their email, but are unaware of how it was sorted by their email service.

    Next, It's helpful to clarify with your client which email is missing. When a gift certificate is sold, there are two emails clients may be expecting.

    1. Receipt email - This is always sent to the purchaser and documents the cost and successful purchase of the gift certificate. This receipt will also include a link to print the gift certificate if the purchaser chose the "print" delivery option.
    2. Delivery email - This is sent to the recipient of the gift certificate if the "email" delivery option was selected. This will include a link to print the gift certificate.

    Consult the following sections for the respective email.

    Troubleshooting Reciept Emails Expand
    1. Find the email address used in spaboom
      1. Go to the GCs tab
      2. Click on the ID of the gift certificate in question
      3. Go to the attached client record by clicking the link at the top of the page.
      4. Note the email address listed in the email field
    2. Verify that the email address is correct and free of typos.
      1. Update the email address as needed
      2. Hit "Save"
    3. Resend the receipt email
      1. Go to the GCs tab
      2. Click on the ID of the gift certificate in question
      3. Click the "Email Receipt" option from the Tasks panel on the left
      4. Hit "Send"
    Troubleshooting the Delivery Email Expand
    1. Find the email address of the gift certificate recipient
      1. Go to the GCs tab
      2. Click on the ID of the gift certificate in question
      3. View the gift certificate by clicking the link at the top of the page.
      4. Note the delivery field
        1. If the delivery field is set to "Print," the customer opted to print the GC himself, and no delivery email was sent. If this field is then changed to "Email" and the "Email to" field is filled out, an email will be sent upon saving.
    2. Verify that the email address is correct and free of typos.
      1. Update the email address as needed
      2. Hit "Save." If a change was made to the "Email to" field, then a new email will be sent upon saving.
    3. Forward the gift certificate if all else fails.
      1. Go to the GCs tab
      2. Click on the ID of the gift certificate in question
      3. Click the "Print GC" option from the Tasks panel on the left
      4. Copy and paste the gift certificate image that pops up into an email to your client.
